What Students Say

I entered this program with no coding background, just curiosity about why everyone was talking about AI. BUAI has connected me with absolutely brilliant people and opened the door to a passion I never could have imagined.

BUAI is truly at the frontier of emerging and changing technology. This program has every resource you need to ensure you are at the forefront of innovation and creation. Whether it is summer courses to upskill, BUAI-specific career prep advisors, company site visits, tailored internship programs, etc. Beyond the resources, you have a community that grows with you throughout the four years!

BUAI has completely redefined what I expected from college — I know everyone in my cohort and almost everyone across all cohorts, which I never thought possible at a big university. From our all-cohort retreat to smaller socials throughout the year, there are so many chances to connect, and professors actually know us by name too. It feels like the tight-knit energy of high school, and that sense of community is something I never could have imagined walking in as a freshman.

BUAI is unlike any other major at USC because it uniquely intertwines the university's two greatest strengths into one program. But, what sets BUAI apart goes beyond the curriculum. The real bonds form when you push through the program's challenges together, and that's where the community becomes something truly special. I believe college isn't meant to be experienced alone, and knowing you have such a rich, driven community to lean on makes all the difference.

BUAI has connected me with some of the most driven and genuine people I've ever met. The friendships I've built here have shaped who I am and will last far beyond college. What makes this program special isn't just the opportunities—it's the people. I'm excited to see where everyone goes next.

Lee Stilwell

Class of 2027

I chose the AI for Business program because it sits right at the intersection of technology and strategy, exactly where I've been building through my work in product, ventures, and AI. It's pushed me to think more critically and helped me better understand how to turn AI into real, tangible business impact.

Kirti Subramanian

Class of 2028

BUAI has honestly been one of the best decisions I have made at USC. One of my favorite classes has been Digital Transformation for Business—it connected so many dots and showed how organizations actually navigate change when new technology enters the picture. But the thing I talk about most is the cohort. I came to USC not knowing anyone, and BUAI gave me my people.
